Lilas "La Fleur" Mukendi is an up and coming artist.
She was born and grew up in Paris (France) from Congolese parents.
Lilas La Fleur studied
Business Management at
the University of Teesside (UK) where she mastered the English language.
Lilas La Fleur is a gifted musician with something more
than talent to share. Her
music is very positive and she encourages people not
to give up on their lives. Her
songs are inspired from her own personal experience and
her experience as a
Christian. In sharing a gift that God has given her,
Lilas has the means to
encourage her fans. She started singing since
she was a little girl but the age of 9
she started composing music on her keyboard, and has
been performing ever since.
Lilas has never had any vocal training as such.
She has a heart for people who’s
been abuse physically, sexually, mentally.
She release her debut single (Gospel) in 2006, ‘Don’t Worry’, the
single was reviewed by Christopher Heron from www.blackgospel.
com and she was also

On the 22nd of September 2004, Lilas La Fleur was interviewed
and performed on the
“Dream on TV” on the God Channel.
After an interview in one of the North East of England’s newspaper

, Lilas La
Fleur was called and interviewed by ITV, one of the
UK national channel and was
viewed on GMTV program. In 2007, Lilas La Fleur published
her first book “STEP INTO
YOUR CALLING: WORSHIP LEADING”. In that same year,
Lilas La Fleur has signed a
contract with a model agency based in Sunderland,
UK, www.zeebramodels.com.
In 2008 she released her debut Gospel album ‘Spread my Wingz’.
This year Lilas is back with a new style, She was one of
the support artists for
Neyo after Party in Sunderland on the 18th of July 2009,
just after his concert in
Newcastle. At the moment, Lilas La Fleur is working on a
RnB album and 'Girl friend'
will be the first single coming out early next year and
'Children Praise' a charity
song mixed of English and Lingala.
Next June, Lilas La Fleur and a Lady Lashes a British
girl band will release a single in the UK.
