Considering current political turmoil going on in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Congolese community of South Africa decided to recognise the greatness of Jesus Christ by organising on the 26th of November 2016 a day of prayer, worship and praise in Johannesburg to commit the country, political elites and its people in the hands of God.
The idea to organise such a day of prayer, worship and praise came as a result of political elites’ difficulties to efficiently deal with the current political turmoil in the country. In fact, the Congolese population of Johannesburg understood the limits of political elites to meet or satisfy their political, economic, cultural and social aspirations. Reason why a day of prayer, worship and praise was organised with Sister Esther Akawa and her husband Jean Claude Tshituka who were on holiday in South Africa.
In conclusion, this was a successful day as people came in huge number and determination to commit the DRC in the hands of God for a long lasting peace and development. There was no rain on that day and the weather was lovely for thousands of people that took part at the event in Yeoville whereas other places were affected with heavy rain. This reminds Congolese of a miracle that occurred with the assistance of God on the 2nd of August 1998 during the Rwandan attack against the regime of the late president Laurent Kabila. Since the 26th of November 2016 was a total success, JRG Production led by Jean René Golo seize this occasion to thank the entire Congolese community of Johannesburg that showed discipline and willingness to commit the country in the hands of God.
