Living in South Africa where his music is played by the Congolese Diaspora, Deboufon Salem returned to his land to re-launch his work which he had not been able promote as desired. Patiently, he answered to AEM’s questions regarding the managerial promotion of his album.
Afriqu’Echos MAGAZINE (AEM): What a surprised to find you in Kinshasa!
DEBOUFON SALEM (DS): Yes it is always for the work of God that I’m back in my country, I am presenting to the children of God the message that He has delivered to me, “Jesus Christ, the antibiotic” . I am here since November 2009 and I came via Lubumbashi to Kinshasa. For six years I was out of the DRC, and nine years out of Kinshasa, my city.
AEM: The release of this album was followed by a calm …
DS: Indeed so far, I have not yet planed anything since I returned from South Africa. For now, I must humble myself to listen to what God wants me to offer his people through song, here in the DRC concerning the album, we’re in post production. Now it is hoped that the message will be understood and that people will be affected. God has allowed me to meet you on my way so that his message may be transmitted (laughs) … It is a very good thing, you will be abundantly blessed. I would add that God allowed me to meet also your colleague Afrika Mujinga from the TV Channel Antenne A and the manager Sisi Itasepa who were willing to help me with contacts in performing at churches and why not on other stages .
AEM: A message for music lovers who love your music in South Africa?
DS: All God’s children throughout the world must remember that the remedy to problems has already been found, It is Jesus Christ the antibiotic get in contact with him and the spiritual antibiotic will manifest itself in your life even if you’re sick, even if you have AIDS and other problems, Jesus Christ, the original antibiotic, is ready to heal you, we live the time of miracles, do not despair, just have faith and you will be cured. May God bless all those in South Africa, my church Yahweh Shammah Assembly, and especially your newspaper afriquechos.ch
