Mimitah is a rising Congolese music star born in DR Congo. She grew up in East London in a refugee family of 8. She helps raise awareness about rape and deportation to the Congo and describes her style of music as “COWO” which means “Congo Meets World”. <\/span><\/p>\n

COWO \u00a0<\/span>is a young Congolese traditional sound\u00a0 <\/span>mixed with modern one and other kinds of worldly music. <\/p>\n

Her Single TATA MUASI meaning “AUNTY”, proved to be a Hit in the DR Congo, topping the Congolese music charts and won millions of fans. <\/p>\n

She was also nominated “UK BEST NEW TALENT” at the AFRICA MUSIC AWARDS in England on Saturday, October 17, 2009. <\/p>\n
