U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will undertake a diplomatic tour three days in Africa with effect from 5 August 2009 with visits planned in the Democratic Republic of the \u00a0<\/span>Congo, Angola, Kenya, South Africa, Liberia, Nigeria and Cape Verde.<\/span><\/p>\n

The delegation of the Secretary of State, the press release announces the presence of Secretary of State of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, the Foreign Trade Representative Ron Kirk, and the Deputy Secretary for African Affairs Jonnie Carson. Ian Kelly said, to this end, the visit of Mrs. Clinton “will highlight the commitment of the United States to work with governments, the private sector, NGOs and citizens to build societies where every individual can realize its potential” and also tend to show that “Africa is no longer on the margins of American diplomacy and international trade.” <\/p>\n
