Egypt is not party to the ICC.<\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <br \/>Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir arrived in Egypt on Wednesday, an airport official<br \/>said, flaunting his freedom in defiance of an international arrest warrant for<br \/>alleged war crimes in Darfur.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 <br \/>Beshir was to hold talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on his second visit<br \/>abroad since March 4, when the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant<br \/>for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 <br \/>But there was little chance of Beshir being arrested in Sudan&#8217;s northern neighbour,<br \/>with both Egypt and the Arab League rejecting the warrant and saying it threatens<br \/>peace talks in Sudan.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 <br \/>Egypt &#8212; like all Arab states except for Jordan &#8212; is not a party to the Rome treaty<br \/>that created the ICC, the world&#8217;s first permanent war crimes tribunal.<br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 <br \/>The ICC does not have a police force and calls on signatory states to implement<br \/>warrants.
