Reverend Deacon Jean Marie Kuzituka Did’ho will be the first French speaking priest to be ordained

Jean Marie was born on the 26 June  1976 in the Congo (DRC). He is the fourth child of a family of six children. His vocation to the priesthood is something he had since his childhood .

After school , Jean Marie joined the Major seminary in the Congo where he completed his three years of formation in Philosophy. He came to South Africa several years ago to study at the University of the Witwatersrand.

 

Reverend  Jean Marie-Marie holds a Bachelor degree in Philosophy from Saint  Augustine College of Kinshasa   affiliated to the Urbaniana Pontifical University in Rome. He also holds Bachelor degrees in Pastoral theology and in Ministry from John Vianney Major seminary in Pretoria. During his university studies, Reverand Jean Marie

Obtained a BA honours  degree and a Masters degree and in social Anthropology. While he was studying at Wits University, Reverend Jean- Marie attended the Saint Francis of Assisi parish in Yeoville  where he taught catechesis to the French kids preparing them for  first communication and confirmation.

 

In 2005 Archbishop Buti Tlhaga accepted him to continue his priest formation in John Vianney Major seminary. Deacon Jean Marie will be ordained to the Sacred Priesthood of Lord Jesus Christ by Grace on Saturday, 23 January 2010 in the Cathedral Christ the King at 10h00 .

 

Reverend Jean –Marie will be the first French speaking priest to be ordained for the Archdiocese of Johannesburg. Deacon Jean-Marie is currently exercising  his diaconate ministry in Mohlakeng, Our Lady of Africa Parish in the West-Rand deanery.
