AMAGEP is an organization that is intensifying its work on Environmental affairs and climate change. The population target is african people in general and the youth in particular. This work is possible by involving NGOs, governmental agencies and individuals who have interest for a better world. We base our campaign on three policies: awareness, mobilization and prevention. Environmental awareness campaigns refer to organizing and educating the general public about the importance of understanding our environment’s vulnerability and protecting it. Promoting environmental awareness is an effective way to become an environmentalist and create a better tomorrow for our children. Our top 12 environmental campaigns from 2020 to 2030 to come, Amagep is interested and get involved in:
FareShare: raising funds to deliver food during a time of national crisis.Vitamin N: helping african nations and youths connect with nature during lockdown.Mock COP: supporting youth climate activists to challenge global leaders.
AMAGEP supported the campaign for women leadership on COP29. Environmental advocacy campaigns work to protect the environment in many ways, including: Protecting natural habitats, for example, through the creation of national parks and marine parks
The aims of an awareness campaign include reaching out to the public regularly, measuring that outreach accurately, and motivating the public to take action. Campaigns deliver messages to an audience, and organizations measure how many people receive the message
AMAGEP work on environmental mobilization through “Better Life for All” campaign consists of mobilizing for the environment involves three factors which will be examined in turn: a discourse that could provide structure for arguments and environmental ideology; the emergence of actors recognized as legitimate; and the invention and experimentation of practices on which to base the fight—successfully.
At AMAGEP level, environmental mobilization campaigns aim to raise awareness among ordinary people and encourage more ecologically-responsible behavior. These changes can include purchasing in an environmentally and conscious manner, properly disposing of items, and becoming involved in organized efforts to educate everyone on environmental topics.Environmental prevention is based on the public health model of affecting health-related behaviors by addressing communities. This approach emphasizes the broader physical, social, cultural and institutional forces that contribute to the problems within a community.
AMAGEP encourages environmental strategies for prevention during “Better Life for All” campaign and that include: Install low-flow faucets and water efficient toilets, reduce landscape water use, engage employees to be more conscientious, install automatic light shut off, use energy efficient light bulbs, reduce scrap material during production.
